On September 8th, authorities from the Egypt Atomic Energy Authority (EAEA) visited INVAP’s headquarters and the facilities of the National Atomic Energy Commission (CNEA).
The delegation was integrated by Dr. Yasser Tawfeek, Vice-president of EAEA, the General Manager, Mr. Medhat Eliwa, and Mr. Ashraf Mousaad, from INVAP Egypt, and was received by INVAP and CNEA authorities.
During their visit, they toured the RA-10 reactor facilities in Ezeiza, the Proton Therapy Center (CeArP) in CABA, INTECNuS and INVAP’s headquarters in San Carlos de Bariloche.
The purpose of the visit was to strengthen the relationship between the institutions and to follow up INVAP’s current projects in Egypt.
Among these projects, the Fuel Manufacturing Pilot Plant FMPP (1998), the Multipurpose Reactor ETRR-2 (1998), both designed and built by INVAP, and the Radioisotope Production Plant RPF (2012), built by INVAP on the basis of processes developed by CNEA, stand out.
The institutions also evaluated opportunities for new projects in Egypt and reinforced the willingness to deepen the joint work.
In this way, INVAP continues to contribute to the general welfare by sharing Argentine technology around the world.
