The Province of Río Negro, the Argentine National Commission of Atomic Energy (CNEA, in Spanish) and INVAP announce that a Shareholders’ Extraordinary General Meeting was held today at the company’s headquarters in San Carlos de Bariloche, with the presence of the Governor of the Province of Río Negro, Alberto Weretilneck, and the President of the CNEA, Dr. Eng. Germán Guido Lavalle. At this meeting, it was decided to change the legal form of the company, which now adopts the form of a sole proprietorship, the name under which it will continue to develop its activities without changes in its operations or management structure.

The Province of Río Negro remains the owner of INVAP, and the governance of the company continues to be shared with the CNEA, as it has been since its creation. This modality, key to INVAP’s success for more than 48 years, will continue unchanged.

In this context, it was emphasized that the decision responds to the need to adapt to the current legal regulations, while maintaining a business model that allows the company to successfully face the new challenges of the national and international context. Besides, INVAP reaffirmed its commitment to its founding values: creating genuine jobs in the country, developing high technology with global impact, and contributing to the scientific and technological development of Argentina.
