On August 28, the National Secretary of Innovation, Science and Technology, Lic. Darío Genua visited INVAP’s headquarters in San Carlos de Bariloche. He was accompanied by the Chief of Staff of the National Communications Agency (ENACOM, in Spanish), Accountant Diego Brunelli, and was received by Engineer Darío Giussi, General Manager and CEO; Engineer Gabriel Absi, Deputy General Operating Manager; and Dr. Luis Genovese, Manager of the Space Projects Area.

They toured the facilities and reviewed almost 50-years trajectory of the Argentine company and showed its capabilities. First, the delegation visited the Conventional Integration Building, where they learned about current projects of the Defense, Security and Environment Area.

They also visited the facilities of the Satellite Integration Building where they could observe the integration work on the SABIA-Mar satellite, which will be ready for its launch campaign in the last quarter of 2025. The SABIA-Mar program is an earth observation mission primarily aimed at studying the sea and coastal areas, which will provide an important source of information for ocean color research at regional level and will be a helpful contribution for international studies.

The Secretary’s visit to INVAP was then concluded.
