On October 14, Lic. Daniel Tillard, President of Banco Nación, accompanied by a delegation, visited INVAP’s headquarters in San Carlos de Bariloche.
The visitors were received by INVAP’s General Manager, Engineer Darío Giussi, together with the members of the General Management: Engineer Gabriel Absi, Engineer Sebastián Clasen, Accountant Ana Cabrera and the Director Lic. Carlos Montenegro.
During the visit, the representatives of Banco Nación and Deputy Villaverde participated in an introductory meeting where an overview of INVAP’s almost 50-years trajectory was presented, highlighting the technological capabilities of the company in the development of innovative projects.
Afterwards, the delegation toured INVAP’s facilities, starting with the Engineering Building (EDI, in Spanish), where they learned about the current projects of the Nuclear Area. They then visited the Conventional Integration Building, where they were able to observe the progress of projects in the Defense, Security and Environment Area, a key sector for the country’s technological and strategic development.
Finally, the tour concluded at the Satellite Integration Building, where they witnessed the progress in the integration of the SABIA-Mar satellite, an Earth observation mission whose priority objective is the study of the sea and coasts. This satellite, which will be ready for its launch campaign in the first half of 2026, will be an essential source of data for regional sea color studies, providing key information for international climate change research.
This visit underlined the importance of the joint work between INVAP and Banco Nación, a relationship that started at the beginning of INVAP’s foundation, fostering the development of cutting-edge technological projects that contribute to Argentina’s technological and economic growth.
